All you need to know about deep tissue massage

The name says it all; deep tissue massage is intended to target the deeper layers of muscle tissue to reach the deeper sections of the thick muscle layers especially the individual muscle fibers. You must have read about Swedish massage; deep tissue massage is somewhat similar to Swedish massage the difference being in the application of deeper application of pressure in the tissues to release the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia.

Certain experts also recommend an Epsom salt bath to help in removing the toxins from your body and alleviating the soreness you feel as a result of massage.

Any side effects
The deep tissue massage focuses on the specific regions on the body and may cause some amount of soreness in the body once the session is over. But this is alleviated in 2 to 3 days after the massage is done. The toxins should be flushed out with a lot of fluid intake otherwise if the toxins accumulate in the body for long periods of time, it may cause disease.
